Nothing beats a hot day in Lagos like a refreshing homemade ice cream. Today, I’m sharing my easy 3-ingredient ice cream recipe that I make for my family—it’s creamy, delicious, and perfect for kids and adults alike. After trying this, you won’t want to buy ice cream from outside ever again!
Ingredients You’ll Need
-
1 cup cold heavy cream – make sure it’s cold for best results
-
1 tin sweetened condensed milk – provides natural sweetness
-
½ cup Pink Chocolate powder – our key ingredient; adds flavor and nutrients
Optional: Sprinkles or ice cream cones for serving
Step-by-Step Instructions
1. Whip the Cream
-
Pour the cold cream into a stand mixer.
-
Whip it until it forms stiff peaks. This will take about 5–7 minutes.
-
If you don’t have a stand mixer, you can use a whisk, but it will take longer and require more effort.
2. Add Condensed Milk
-
Pour in the sweetened condensed milk.
-
This adds sweetness, so there’s no need to add extra sugar.
3. Mix in Pink Chocolate
-
Add the Pink Chocolate powder to the mixture.
-
Use a spatula to gently fold everything together until fully combined.
Tip: Make sure the cream is stiff before adding the condensed milk and chocolate to get a smooth, creamy texture.
4. Transfer to a Container
-
Pour the ice cream mixture into a freezer-safe container.
-
I like to use separate bowls if making a large batch.
-
Cover and freeze for about 6 hours, or until firm.
Note: Freezing time depends on your freezer and container type.
5. Serve and Enjoy
-
Once frozen, scoop your ice cream into cones or bowls.
-
Add sprinkles, jelly beans, or other toppings if you like.
-
Enjoy your homemade treat!
Why This Recipe Works
-
No churn needed: Just whip, fold, and freeze.
-
Simple and quick: Only 3 ingredients required.
-
Customizable: Add flavors, toppings, or mix-ins to suit your family’s taste.
-
Nutritious: Pink Chocolate adds nutrients, while the cream and milk keep it rich and creamy.
