At the onset of the Anglophone crisis, president Biya requested the Government to engage in a constructive dialogue with the English-speaking teachers and lawyers to seek solutions to their demands. These are the actions which have already been taken by the Government following the dialogue;

  1. President Biya ordered for the employment of Bilingual teachers as a solution to the teachers plight.
  2. A Common law section/faculty was created at ENAM to train magistrates who will effectively implement the common law system.
  3. The National Commission for the Promotion of Bilingualism and Multiculturalism was created to promote bilingualism and multiculturalism in Cameroon. George Ngwane; an advisory board member of the outlawed Consortium in Southern Cameroons was also appointed by President Biya as a member of this "Bilingualism Commission headed by Peter Mafany Musonge.
  4. The faculty of Laws and Political Science was recently created at the university of Buea as another solution to the crisis.
Others are ongoing or in the pipeline.

So if the Anglophone problem is defined as the list of socio-professional grievances presented to Biya by the outlawed Cameroon Anglophone Civil Society Consortium (CASC) headed by Agbor Balla Nkongho, then i can boldly say (without any remorse or fear of contradiction) that the Anglophone problem has already been solved by president Biya. President Biya's Government has even gone beyond the initial demands of the English-speaking teachers and lawyers.

 Federalism or secession wasn't what Agbor Balla initially bargained for hence the reason why he was released from Kondengui. He was victimised because he was misjudged by President Biya.

Barrister Agbor Balla and other members of the outlawed consortium knows that the Anglophone problem has already been solved. What Barrister Agbor Balla is clamoring for right now is for the release of all those people who were arbitrarily arrested. That is the only bone of contention between Barrister Agbor Balla and Biya's government.

Please take note!!!

Issues like Federalism and Secession doesn't fall inline with the constitution of Cameroon. In other words,the two issues are beyond the power of president Biya.
